Role synopsis A senior trader role with responsibility for trading physical LPG and trading polyethylene, polypropylene and methanol futures contracts based in Shanghai. This role will be critical to delivering the businesses growth plans across multiple commodities and to help mentor, coach and supervise junior traders that will be added to the team over the coming years. It is intended that this role will work closely with the PTA and PX trader and with the Traders, Originators, Analysts and Operators in the Shanghai, Singapore, Houston, Chicago and London offices. Key accountabilities 1. LPG Trading and Origination a. Develop and enhance relationships with LPG consumers, producers and importers in China and increase physical market activity b. Work within the wider LPG team to have a global view on the supply and demand balances of the product market 2. Polymer Trading a. Work closely with functions in Singapore and China to get polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) trading set up and established b. Trade PE and PP futures on the Dalian Exchange c. Work closely with Analytics to develop PE and PP balances for both Asia and China d. Work with Houston petchems analyst and polymer traders to have a coordinated view on the global polymer market 3. Methanol a. Trade methanol futures on the ZCE exchange b. Work with Methanol traders in Singapore, Europe and the US to establish a global view of methanol balances 4. PTA and PX Trading Vacation/Out of Office coverage – provide coverage for the PTA and PX trader in Shanghai as required 5. Training, development and mentoring of junior traders and those on the Graduate Program in the Shanghai office. Role synopsis Responsible for exploring and developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with appropriate client contacts and executing strategic and tactical business plans in order to maximise the profitable share of the relevant segments. Role synopsis It is the responsibility of the Technical Service Engineer (TSE) to plan, organise and deliver a differentiated level of technical service to customers and target prospects consistent with the GME technical offer and in support of sector strategies. Works with the Technical Services Measurement Advisor to measure time spent, cost to serve and value generated from these activities to prepare and deliver regular SmartGains playback to the customers as well as providing evidence points to support tender responses and pricing discussions undertaken by the sales function. The role holder is a consultant to Castrol’s high value customers as the one stop shop for their complex lubricant questions and applications needs. Providing SmartGains insights and opportunities from Used oil analysis results. Role synopsis The role leads the BP China Holding Company (CHC) Finance team in ensuring the accounting and reporting of CHC is of the highest standard, the accurate and timely execution of accounting processes, and the coordination and joint work with Treasury and Tax functions as needed. The role ensures that from accounting, reporting, cash, tax, legal and compliance perspective, the CHC operates smoothly and remains silent running.. Key accountabilities • Maintain robust and effective internal control environment for CHC. Ensure integrity of financial and non-financial data and reports for both internal and external to BP, in compliance with relevant regulations, policies and processes. Deliver finance support, advice and guidance to CHC Directors. • Deliver quality and efficient in-house accounting services to a broad range of business and function teams and employees across China. • Drive for continuous improvements. Standardize the underlying Finance control procedures in CHC. • Ensure adequate cash flow for CHC operations and manage banking relationships working jointly with Treasury • Deliver effective internal control, management information reporting, planning and budgeting to China Country Head teams. • Ensure dormant BP China businesses are properly handled with in terms of closing/exit. • Advise business teams that do not have dedicated finance resources in China on accounting, due diligence, joint venture contracts preparation etc. • Lead or participate in internal control review projects for joint ventures based on business needs. • Manage external relationships with Deloitte and relevant consulting firms. • Work closely with BP internal functions such as Tax, Legal and Treasury on CHC related subjects. • Provide leadership, guidance, technical and non-technical coaching to the team to build strong capabilities. Essential Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or Accounting Qualification. • Chinese public accounting certification strongly preferred.
