Role synopsis
The Commodity Risk Analyst role will report to the Commodity Risk Valuations and BMI Lead. The Valuations and BMI team is an integral part of the Commodity Risk team and overall Finance organization. The position will assist in the delivery of quality management information (MI) to the business within a robust reporting framework, whilst supporting a One Finance approach.
The primary function of the Valuation & BMI analyst is to support the valuation of trading assets and liabilities in accordance with the Independent Price Verification policy. He/she will also be responsible for leading and preparing working capital forecasts for meetings with the broader finance leadership team. In addition, the Valuations & BMI analyst is responsible for managing several controls within the Operating Standards for NAGP trading environment, including, but not limited to DOA monitoring, Out-of-Office deal-entry monitoring and P&L publishing.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills coupled with very strong analytical and IT skills and possess an ability to co-ordinate efforts among many functional teams such as Commercial, Credit, Settlements, Accounts and other Regional teams. The candidate must also be innovative and deliver efficiencies, simplification and/or standardization in processes using new tools and technologies. The post requires a good understanding of trading operations, trading strategies and the ability to apply financial and accounting skills in a trading environment.
The successful applicant will have a strong bias for performance and the ability to implement and support change, ensuring a consistently high standard of management information and control.
Key accountabilities
• Ensure curve validation review is performed in accordance with the Independent Price Verification policy
• Create, set-up, and maintain curves and settlement mappings for all NAGP commodities including Gas, Power, and NGLs.
• Manage the working capital forecasting process and prepare deliverables for senior finance leaders
• Responsible for testing and coordinating IT&S implementation of projects for Commodity Risk as needed
• Responsible for managing team’s process changes and manage transition plans to new processes as they get implemented.
• Run the End of Day processes while working with several different analysts from regional offices and confirming that all the trader marks necessary are in the system.
• Coordinate validation and metrics reporting across commodities to ensure consistent delivery
• Monitor Delegation of Authorities and adherence to trading limits
• Partner with other areas of Commodity Risk and other functions to deliver time sensitive P&L and MI information
• Ensure that data flows are reliable and consistent and seek out data sources that provide reliable and consistent trading data

Essential Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or other Quantitative field.

Role synopsis
The Marine Manager Oil USAwill play a key role in providing assurance to BP Fleet Operations, BP businesses and affiliates for marine-related activities. This will be conducted by leading a marine functional team who will undertake a combination of routine marine assurance assessments/inspections and supervising and performing audit and inspection activity in the region.
The Marine Manager willbe responsible for the day to day management and development of their team of marine and Alaska Superintendents. The Marine Manager Oil will be responsible for ensuring that marine technical activity in the region is conducted in a coordinated and unified manner.
The marine manager will be responsible for the updating and management of assigned marine activity manual documentation ensuring that the documentation is maintained in a current status.
The Marine Manager will be responsible for maintaining the regional pool of contracted inspectors, following the guidance in BP OMS, and BP shipping procedures.
Key accountabilities
1.Management and continuous improvement of the day-to-day delivery of regional assessment & inspection services, including the consistent delivery of assessments/inspections of oil, gas and chemical vessels, owners/managers and terminal facilities, as applicable, to the requirement of the Vetting & Clearance team and Operating Management System in order that compliance with relevant standards and/or suitability for use by BP may be accurately assessed.
2.Provide input and offer professional opinion on the maintenance and future development of the integrated Marine Assurance System (iMAS) and the Marine Assurance Manual (Working Practices).
3.Oversee and undertake other regional Marine Activities including assessments of marine related services and service providers, e.g. STS service providers, Dry bulk vessels, Tug, Launch providers, Oil Spill Response vessels, passenger vessels etc.
4.Management and development of the regional support and assessment marine Superintendents and Alaska based superintendent.
5.Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
6.Ensuring balance of demand and supply of regional marine resources
7.Working in collaboration with the other regional managers and the Global Marine Oil Manager, contribute to a centre of marine expertise for BPS and BP Group. Ensure Marine Working Practices contained within the BPS Operating Management System reflect current legislation and industry practice ensuring they are fit for purpose. Define and own standards and procedures within Fleet OMS and BP Shipping CDI for the marine discipline.
8.Manage the regional pool of contracted vessel inspectors ensuring the capability and demand balance is achieved and contractors are managed in accordance with the BP group OMS

You will work across the designated Business Unit to support continuous improvement efforts to drive efficiency, productivity, optimization, and quality by assessing, prioritizing, and leading continuous improvement projects that derive the greatest value to the business.
Key accountabilities
Utilize data sets to identify trends and areas in need of RCFA’s and/or continuous improvement projects
Oversee and lead projects for improvement across all levels of the organization
Develop project plan and ensure performance metrics are collected, tracked, and reported on a consistent basis
Support, coach, and champion growing organizational capabilities associated with organizational continuous improvement
You are willing to travel to the field approximately 25 percent of the time to meet with key partners regarding product development.
Essential Education
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or STEM related fields required
Essential experience and job requirements
Strong interpersonal and communication skills: ability to communicate concisely and accurately across an entire organization ranging from upper management to field personnel
Experience leading projects with Agile/Scrum/Lean methodologies
Demonstrated experience and/or continuous improvement certification
