Key accountabilities
In deze veelzijdige rol ben je onder andere verantwoordelijk voor het ondersteunen van de Maintenance organisatie op het gebied van compliance, integrity management, KPI management, HR&O/L&D, audits, SAP management en cost management. Je geeft op basis van analyses adequaat, deskundig en gericht advies evenals effectieve ondersteuning aan de Maintenance organisatie om te komen tot continue verbetering van het werkproces en het verstevigen van de onderliggende bouwstenen. Dit doe je op de gebieden: leadership, organisational capability & competence, tools & methods en performance management.
Samen met de andere Maintenance Teamleaders en de Maintenance Manager ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen van strategische en tactische plannen voor de afdeling Maintenance.

Role synopsis
BP Refinery Rotterdam (BPRR) is located in Europoort. The Europoort refinery with an annual capacity of 150 million barrels of crude oil is one of the largest refineries in Europe and is strategically located at one of the busiest oil trading ports in the world.
There is a clear growing trend towards dismantling non-efficient refineries in Europe. It is expected that refining capacity in Europe will decrease by approximately 20% (2030) as a result of this.
On the basis of its Energy Outlook, BP expects that demand for oil products will continue to exist in the longer term, and so will the need for efficient refineries. Therefore, BP would like to keep investing in refineries, provided these belong to the very best refineries in the world – based on the so-called ‘Solomon first quartile’ index.
During recent years there have been significant investments in the BP Refinery Rotterdam (BPRR) – since 2010 more than one billion euros. BPRR is one of the more efficient refineries worldwide and works with high environmental and safety standards. Today, however, the refinery – with its current installations - cannot consider itself one of the very best refineries in the world.
BP would like to invest in the construction of a hydrocracker at its Rotterdam refinery, which will produce cleaner fuels. From an economic point of view this is a good investment, based on a positive business case. The proposed investment will enable BPRR to operate in the ‘Solomon first quartile’, ensuring its competitive position in the mid and longer term (‘last man standing’ principle).
A hydrocracker would allow the refinery to produce high-grade products such as low-sulphur diesel and kerosene to meet worldwide growing demand for these products from shipping (MARPOL), aviation, as well as land freight transport. The process also offers the opportunity to produce base oil for the production of high-grade lubricants and enables us to increase our biodiesel production capacity.
It is the intention to build the hydrocracker on the site of the existing refinery and that it will be an integral part of BPRR's refining process. There is an inextricable connection with the existing components and processes of the current facility.
In addition to the hydrocracker, an (additional) flare and related installations for the processing of acid water, sulphur and amine are planned. We are currently assuming that we will be importing the necessary hydrogen for the hydrocracker process from third parties.
The Rotterdam Major Investment (MAIN) Project is currently in the Select stage with an estimated investment cost of $1.3b and is targeted for operation in 2024.
Teamleader Planning and Scheduling (TLPS)
Under the leadership and direction of the Project Services Manager (PSM), the TLPS, develops and ultimately “owns†the project's Master Control Schedule (MCS). The role must fully understand the project execution plan (PEP) and associated scope of work, and then use these as inputs to develop an integrated project performance plan and MCS. The TLPS coordinates the development and management of the contractors’ plans and schedules ensuring a consistent approach and structure that can be integrated with the MCS. The role works with the cost engineer (CE) and PSM to establish clear rules of credit for all activities and then oversees the process that regularly calculates and verifies the physical progress / value of work done (VOWD) associated with project delivery. The TLPS develops the project’s overall resource plan and performance baseline and then tracks progress and reports schedule performance against these. The role regularly assesses the BP and contractor planning and scheduling function, verifies compliance with the project services plan, and identifies issues impacting delivery targets.

• Experience leading project planner/schedulers through full lifecycle of heavy industry engineering and construction (EPC) type major capital projects

• Experience with a stage gated project execution process;
• Demonstrated strong organization, teamwork, communication and influence skills
• Demonstrated experience with industry standard scheduling tools and software, specifically Primavera (P6).

The Senior Planning and Scheduling Engineer is responsible for all aspects of standard scheduling function including, but not limited to, schedule development, administration, maintenance, progressing, reporting, and benchmarking. This role reports to the TL Project Services.
Key accountabilities
• Deputize the Lead Planning and Scheduling Engineer and perform as a Project Services Manager on a project if required
• Responsible for development and maintenance of appropriate and accurate schedules and schedule basis. These tools help support efficient execution of work, cash flows, and cost forecasts.
• Prepare the End of Month report

Key accountabilities
Als Lead Engineer verleen je met je team ondersteuning binnen de vakdisciplines aan de Maintenance afdeling als ook aan andere afdelingen om de overall raffinaderij doelstellingen te ondersteunen.
In deze functie geef je, als lid van het Extended Leadership Team (ELT), dagelijkse leiding aan een team van Discipline Engineers en Specialisten (totaal 6 personen) en rapporteert aan de Team Leader Maintenance Discipline Engineering.
