The role holder will work closely with HR Business Partner/s both within and across segments where appropriate, HR Services and CoEs to ensure the co-ordinated delivery of high quality HR support to the business / function. The role holder will manage relationships with key leaders for a business or function, monitoring internal ‘weak signals’ to pre-empt potential ER/IR risks and coach managers to inspire and drive development of their teams, through appropriate interventions. Role synopsis Execute maintenance engineering works and provide technical support for some of critical mechanical equipment to ensure safe, cost effective and reliable plant operation. Key accountabilities Reliability and critical equipment performance improvement ï¶ Implement maintenance plan, overhaul and quality control plan in scheduled shutdown/TAR for critical mechanical equipment; ï¶ Perform root causes analysis and troubleshooting for mechanical equipment and propose improvement plan; ï¶ Diagnosis on plant mechanical equipment, provide input and contribute maintenance planning to improve equipment reliability. ï¶ Follow up daily maintenance activities and maintain critical history and reliability data on critical mechanical equipment; ï¶ Set up spare parts inventory safety stock for mechanical equipment. Knowledge management ï¶ Provide technical coach, training and consultation for technician and contractor; ï¶ Develop work instruction or maintenance standing operating procedure (SOP) for some of mechanical equipment. ï¶ Participate network/seminar in BP PTA plant and external work to catch new maintenance technology development in mechanical equipment and share best practices to improve plant reliability, safety and cost efficiency. ï¶ Provide engineering support on own expertise area to project and reliability improvement activities as assigned. Safety and integrity management ï¶ Execute the assigned work order which includes routine inspection, repair, preventive maintenance, trouble shooting, overhaul and plant turnaround activities, according to related maintenance procedures and Work Instruction and Mechanical Leader’s instruction. ï¶ Lead some of critical mechanical equipment overhaul and ensure risk assessment are properly done; ï¶ Supervise contractor to perform some of mechanical equipment maintenance work safely. ï¶ Report any unsafe condition, potential environmental problem, any opportunities to improve in his/her work area based on his/her knowledge, experience and lesson learnt. ï¶ Develop lump sum package for TAR tasks according to equipment specification. ï¶ Develop quality control plan for some of critical equipment overhaul. 5. Petrochemical plant experience is preferred. ï¶ Has working experience and demonstrated strong understanding in piping, valves, pressure vessels, and rotating equipment including compressor, turbine, agitator, pump, dryer, rotary filter, vessel, boiler, tower etc. ï¶ Skillful application of repairing technique and tools used on at least two kinds of above mechanical equipment’s maintenance. ï¶ Working knowledge and experience on generic machinery maintenance, like bearing & lubrication, , shaft sealing system, rotor balancing, alignment equipment and techniques, bolting and flange connection, sealing system and gasket selection, piping and valve code and selection, pressure test, PSV test, etc. Well aware of most advanced technology development in relevant area. ï¶ Working knowledge and skill on maintenance system and process, like preventive and predictive maintenance, reliability centered maintenance, root cause failure analysis, equipment specific maintenance plan etc. ï¶ Respect for and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. c.
