Labor and Employment attorney to support all aspects of BP L48’s business, reporting to the company’s General Counsel.
Key accountabilities
The L48 LEEB Team provides its client groups with the full range of labor and employment legal support, including:
Counseling on a wide range of labor, employment and employee benefit matters, including termination and discipline, requests for leave, co-employment, wage and hour, divestments and acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations.
Investigating and responding to federal and state administrative matters.
Assisting with management of employment-related litigation.
Assisting with employment-related mediations and arbitrations.
Managing and monitoring labor relations trends, developments and cases across multiple states of business.
Conducting internal investigations related to violations of company policies.
Conducting internal training.
Essential Education
JD Degree from an accredited U.S. law school or international equivalent.
A valid, active license in good standing to practice law in any state in the U.S.
If not licensed to practice in Colorado, should be willing and able to become licensed.
Essential experience and job requirements
At least five (5) years of experience as an attorney in private practice or with a large corporation, handling labor, employment and employee benefits law matters.
Working knowledge of state and federal employment and wage and hour laws, including FMLA, ADA, ADEA, FLSA.
Strong research and writing skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to organize/manage multiple tasks in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.
Ability to understand the company’s business objectives and risk tolerance and formulate appropriate legal advice.
Experience handling responses to administrative charges and conducting internal investigations.
Ability to work collaboratively within a legal team structure.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently to meet short-term deliverables.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong commitment to a work environment exemplified by mutual trust, respect and inclusion.

Responsible for the evaluation of analytics and machine learning technologies in use in the business and communicates findings to key stakeholders through reports and presentations.
Partners with senior business executives and key stakeholders in creating the data science roadmap tailored to constantly aid data governance across the business and improve the overall business performance.
Partners with other non-technical departments within the business assisting them in understanding how data science can benefit them and improve their effectiveness and performance.
In collaboration with Data Engineers, Data Architects and Data Management, works closely with the IT department within the business for the purpose of facilitating easy and effective access to computing and data resources within the business.
Essential Education
A master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or any other related quantitative field.
Essential experience and job requirements
7+ years of hands on experience in machine learning (supervised, unsupervised and ensemble methods), natural language processing; computer vision, deep learning experience is a bonus
Proven track record of developing, scaling and implementing these models in customer facing environments
Strong programming skills: R, Python, Java etc along with stellar visualization and persuasive story telling
Experience with big data, real-time streaming data and cluster computing environments
Knowledge and exposure to cloud technologies, Azure and/or AWS.
Demonstrated team building, and development of teams in similar discipline

Essential Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or any other related data field.
Essential experience and job requirements
10+ years of hands on experience in data engineering, data architecture in an enterprise environment is highly preferred
Proven track record of developing, scaling and implementing data platforms and solutions.
Strong knowledge of whole SQL Server stack including Azure versions, Oracle, Hadoop, ETL solutions
Experience overseeing the data stream of multiple projects including deployments, integration and migration efforts
Experience with MDM, big data, real-time streaming data and cloud technologies: Azure and/or AWS.

The Director of Data Engineering leads the team of central data architecture, data engineering, data quality and data management.
